Pumping Iron 🏋♂️ could be key to a longer life?

We are all looking to ways to improve our health and possibly slow the sands of time ⏳ then flicking the switch on to becoming Peter Pan or Benjamin Button.
The demand for anti-ageing and longevity 🧬 science as well as solutions has exploded over the last couple of years. And understanding how to extend the human lifespan has become an interest for many billionaires, who devote themselves to ice baths 🥶, strict diets 🥗 and certain supplements 💊 with a hope of achieving immortality.
But which lifestyle factors are the most effective or influential in helping to slow or possibly reduce someone’s biological age?
Over the last 7 years Muhdo Health through our own Epigenetic 🧬 research and analysis have identified key diet 🥗 and lifestyle 🏃 markers as well as certain tweaks that everyone can introduce into their day to day lives, which have been shown to improve your health significantly, as well as affecting your Youngevity.
What have we found so far?
We have analysed data from 354 individuals in our Epigenetics 🧬 database to try and find clues to how we can begin reversing the biological clock, improving quality and perhaps quantity of life.
The database analysis looks at resistance training at 30 minutes/+ per week at moderate level (5+ RPE) averaging out each groups chronological and biological age.
So, does resistance training 🏋♂️ reverse or slow your biological age? 🧬
Our results indicate that resistance training does in fact reduce ageing, however the benefits are seen in those that train at least 3 times per week.
Those that trained 4 x per week showed to have the largest reduction in age (-6 yrs) and those that trained 7 x per week were beginning to show little reduction in age (-1 yrs).
Interestingly this shows that more exercise is not always superior, but it is still recommended to none at all, overtraining and burnout may have a role to play in the loss of benefit when training 7 days per week.
