Team GB Marathon Runner
In 2010 Helen was automatically selected to run for England at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi after finishing as the 2nd English lady at the London marathon, and 8th overall. In the same year, Helen was selected to run the marathon for Great Britain at the European Championships in Barcelona.
After the 2012 London Marathon Helen took a break from competitive running to start a family. Helen made her return to competition in 2015 at the Brighton marathon, winning the race with a time of 2:42. She retuned a year later to retain her title with a winning time of 2:38.
After strong performances at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in Canada, Helen ranked 1st in the V35 UK rankings. For a third consecutive year, Helen went on to win the Brighton Marathon which led her to be selected to represent Team GB at the IAU 50K World Championships in Romania. Where she finished second with a very strong performance.
